ABOUT US
Located in the Mt. Prospect district, we offer a country horse riding experience just 10 minutes from Daylesford. The riding experience you will have will be a very unique one. We ensure you receive individual attention so you feel comfortable and safe and most importantly, enjoy the ride. We cater for all riding skills from beginners to experienced, and match each rider to the perfect personality of horse. After the ride we offer you something to eat & drink, and visitors are welcome to wander around and enjoy all that the farm has to offer. There are lots of animals to see including ducks – usually with a brood of ducklings, chooks, geese, the guinea fowl, dogs, cats, sheep and cattle.
During the hotter months of the year, early morning rides and twilight rides are available, that is followed by a beautiful barbecue tea. For any friends and family who don’t want to ride, can relax in the Tack Room while waiting for the riders to return. You also have a huge choice of great places to visit nearby such as the Captain’s Creek Winery, Newlyn Antiques and the Swiss Mountain Hotel. Our rides can be tailored for the group or for individual needs to give you an experience like no other.
SERVICES –
Along with a memorable experience, we offer many options to choose from in terms of the ride itself.
- 2 hour ride – The perfect time allowed to enjoy the scenic environment without any strain on your body. This includes food & drinks after the ride,
- Wombat Ride 3 hours – This is for a rider with more experience & is also followed with food & drinks,
- All Day Ride – This is a 2 hour ride for experienced riders, with lunch, change of horses then another 3 hour ride,
- Pub/Winery Ride Allow 5 hours – This is a ride through the bush where we arrive at the Swiss Mountain Hotel for lunch (lunch & drinks are included in the price), where you enjoy this great old pub, and relax by the open fire with a country meal. We have another option of riding to the Captain’s Creek organic winery to enjoy fine wine and a meal overlooking the grape vines. We then ride home and unwind in the Tack Room,
- 2 Hour Twilight Ride (Summer only) – This ride is only available during daylight savings, and is concluded with a BBQ dinner,
