When you use a fertility clinic, we’re able to protect your health by ensuring that all sperm donors (known or de-identified) are rigorously screened and their sperm is quarantined before being released for treatment. All donors used will have undergone a in-depth medical assessment.
- Counselling. All involved will undergo compulsory counselling to consider the legislation and the longer term implications of becoming a sperm donor or recipient. Complex emotional and social issues are talked about. Fertility counsellors also provide support throughout the process.
- Security of access. If you’d like to have a genetic sibling for your child, using a clinic recruited donor may provide the ability of accessing the same donor.
