Located in Queensland’s Mackay / Isaac Region, Rainforest Scuba offers the WORLDS 1st chance of a lifetime to dive in the rainforest’s crystal clear freshwater, getting up close & personal with some amazing aquatic life. This is the only dive shop in the world offering the ultimate bucket list experience to dive in rainforest waters fed from waterfalls, with the chance of being in the water at the same time as our resident Platypus’ Penelope and Latisha. See an array of turtles the size of a 20 cent piece to pizza pan size, 7 species of fish, Cateelona our friendly eeltail catfish who lets you come up close, rare Gordian rainbow coloured worms, 3 breeds of freshwater eels that just sit and chill, plus 3 types of freshwater prawn/shrimp.

Suitable for both divers and non-divers alike (starting at age 8), it’s a no time limit dive with fully qualified instructors, that’s 100% safe for everyone to enjoy as nothing can sting you, bite you, eat you or drag you away! Rainforest Scuba not only dives in the rainforest, but for those who don’t want to get into the water, we offer a Mackay region tour, Finch Hatton Gorge tour and Eungella tour, as well as personalised on land private Platypus tours.
