With stunning views over Yellow Rock and the Broke Fordwich Valley, Running Horse Wines is a Hunter Valley vineyard that produces wine born out of the Fromberg family passion for fine horses and fine wines. We have been aging our entire range of wines & have amassed an impressive, unique & true age worthy wine list that will take you on an adventurous ride to an unprecedented tasting experience. Our classic aged range is comprising of the Hunter’s finest Shiraz, Semillon, Verdelho, Rose & a sparkling Rose, also being aged on lees for 4 years. There is nothing quite like watching the growth of seasons while taking in the colours of sunset. Our wine tasting & cellar door is open to the public, with the option for private tastings & corporate groups available, and catered for also.
Running Horse Wines embrace unique viticulture methods based on allowing the land and the vines to form a partnership based on their natural capabilities. Intercession with the process is based on constant care with minimum interference in the growing process. This approach produces quality wines with unique characteristics that are special to the region in which they are grown. The combination of wine and thoroughbreds together is an interesting concept. there is something about the feel of being surrounded harmoniously by nature, be it Kangaroos at dusk, quietly nibbling the fresh green between the vines or the steam from the horses during their early morning workout.
