Visit Italy for the 2020 Milan LGBTQ Annual Global Travel & Tourism Convention

Founded in 1983 and a global partner of International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), The Italian National Tourist Board are the world’s leading network of LGBTQI welcoming tourism businesses, joining the elite group of companies & destinations that have committed to year round support for the association & LGBTQ travel. Bringing to Italy more than 400 tour operators and representatives from international public institutions, The Italian National Tourist Board are excited to announce that Milan has been chosen as the official host city for the prestigious LGBT tourism convention in 2020. Offering the perfect opportunity to visit the most inclusive city in Italy in May 2020, the convention is scheduled for May 2020, and is expected to bring 600 participants from 80 countries to the city for three days.

Milan is the place of fashion and centre of LGBTQ life in Italy, boasting colourful gay price events that attract 200,000 participants and LGBTQ associations & resources. Every year, cities around the globe bid on hosting the conference that attracts those looking to expand their knowledge about the ever-evolving LGBTQ travel market. The choice of Milan reaffirms the commitment of The Italian National Tourist Board, in concert with several Italian LGBT associations and regional administrations, to strengthen Italy’s gay-friendly image in an effort to gain positions in the ranking of LGBT destinations and attract more LGBT travelers to our country.
