Laurel Cottage is a delightful 2 bedroom colonial convict cottage built around 1830, that boasts comfort and originality while reflecting the charming ambience of the historic Richmond township. Set in a large cottage garden, you can relax and enjoy the privacy and seclusion our property offers.
When you step through the front door it feels like you’re entering another age, as the furniture has been chosen to faithfully represent the colonial era and the wood fire certainly adds an extra special touch. Laurel Cottage offers all modern comforts, and no matter the season, there’s now also electric heating for added comfort.
If you choose to see the sights, you can enjoy a stroll among the lanes in this historic village and admire the Georgian Cottages, the churches and the oldest bridge in Australia. You can also feed the ducks on the river next door to the cottage, explore the galleries and antique shops within a few hundred metres, and when you return to Laurel Cottage, you have your own beautiful garden to explore.
